Qualifications

Linda graduated from the University of South Australia in 1994 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy.  She has been the Principal Physiotherapist and Director of City Physiotherapy since 1996. Linda is trained in Level 1 and Level 2 Dry Needling (Western acupuncture) & pain education.

 

Special Interests

Linda’s special interests are in helping her patients move and feel better. She uses a variety of treatments including neuromuscular dry needling (western acupuncture), corrective, strength and flexibility exercises, soft tissue release, joint mobilisation, cupping therapy, fascia release, mindfulness, nervous system health and helping patients understand and implement realistic short, medium and long term goal oriented life strategies to move through complex pain issues.

Outside of work, her interests include cycling to work, writing articles on the science-based health & wellbeing of people, walking up hills and along the beach, photography, reading, fossicking in vintage stores, spending time with her husband and family, healthy cooking, making choices that foster sustainability, active travel adventures as well as local and international community-mindedness.

Linda takes a holistic approach to her patients, assisting them with their day-to-day health and journey to wellness. She will ensure that her patients feel heard and will work with them to forge a new narrative around their health and pain story. Linda is fluent in speaking German, having an Austrian cultural heritage. She also teaches small group therapeutic exercise, dynamic core stability in our posture plus + rehab classes at City Physiotherapy’s gymnasium. She is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Sports Medicine Australia.
